Choosing the Right Size for the Right Fit for Your Baby

Our sleep sacks are designed to be a looser fit compared to other brands and are sized to cater for the average to high percentile sized babies.
If your baby is in the lower percentile for their age, it will be likely that they will get a better fitting sleep suit with the size below.
It's all about the arm span
The Sleepy Hugs is all about the arm span - the key is to measure your baby's arm span to get the correct size. If too big, your baby will not get the security and snug fit that they still need in the arms. More importantly, if too big there could be excess fabric that could pose a safety risk.
The best fit is a snug fit
Designed to help your baby gently transition to free arms, the Sleepy Hugs sleep suit will be most effective if you choose the size that will give your baby a snug fit in the arms.
How to measure your baby's arm span
The correct way to measure your baby's arm span is to measure with your baby’s arms slightly bent - this is how your baby sleeps naturally, then measure the tops of their hands from one side to the other (left to right or right to left).
Do not measure with your baby's arms fully stretched out - you will not get the right fit.
How to choose the correct Sleepy Hugs size for your baby
The Sleepy Hugs baby sleeping bag comes in three sizes:

X-Small (0-3 M)
- Suitable for babies aged from newborn to 12 weeks, weighing 3 - 6 kg.
- The arm span width is approx. 46cm. The length is approx. 56cm and the neck hole opening is approx. 9cm.
Small (3-6 M)
- Suitable for babies aged from 3 months onwards weighing 6 - 8 kg.
- The arm span width is approx. 56cm. The length is approx. 65cm and the neck hole opening of approx. 11cm.
Medium (6-12 M)
- Suitable for babies aged from 6 months onwards, weighing 8 - 10 kg.
- The arm span width is approx. 65cm.The length is approx. 75cm and the neck hole opening is approx. 12cm.
HANDS IN & OUT
Our Hands In & Out baby sleeping bags are designed for babies from 6-12 months onwards:

Medium (6-12 M)
- Suitable for babies aged from 6 months onwards, weighing 8 - 10 kg.
- The arm span width is approx. 67cm (including the wrist cuffs). The length is approx. 75cm and the neck hole opening is approx. 12cm.
Large (12+ M)
- Suitable for babies 12 months and beyond, weighing over 10 kg.
- The arm span width is approx. 84cm (including the wrist cuffs). The length is approx. 87cm and the neck hole opening is approx. 12cm.
COZY TODDLER SUIT
Our Cozy Toddler onesie sleepsuits are designed for toddlers aged from 1 year to 3+ years.
NOTE: the measurements provided below are of the garment and does not include baby's head.
- Suitable for toddlers aged from 1 year old up to 3+ years, weighing from 10 kg and up.
- The arm span width is approx. 84cm(including the wrist cuffs). The length from the back of neck to the crotch is approx.69cm andapprox. 86cm from back of neck to the bottom of the foot cuff. The neck hole opening is approx. 12cm.
