The Hands In & Out Extra-Wide Sack has all the features of our Hands In & Out, with a wider sack for babies 6 months and older with developmental hip challenges who need to wear a brace. As your baby grows, it gives them more freedom while keeping the security that helps them sleep for longer.
- Fits over hip braces. The extra-wide sack comfortably fits a hip harness, Pavlik harness, Denis Browne brace, Rhino brace or spica cast. Check the sack width in the size chart against your baby’s brace.
- Hands in or out. Fold-over cuffs open so your baby can self-soothe or play, then fold closed for warm hands and a snug, secure feel.
- Designed for safe rolling. Free arm movement lets your baby roll and settle in their natural sleeping position, even with hands in.

To help your baby sleep more comfortably on warm nights, we created this 'Cool' range made of a soft, ultra light organic cotton mesh-like fabric to promote air circulation around your baby, keeping their body temperature cool and constant.
This Extra-Wide Sack version baby sleeping bag is designed for babies that have been diagnosed with developmental hip challendges, and are required to wear a special brace (orthosis).

The Sleepy Hugs is all about the arm span - the key is to measure your baby's arm span to get the correct size. If too big, your baby will not get the security and snug fit that they still need in the arms. More importantly, if too big there could be excess fabric that could pose a safety risk.

How to measure your baby's arm span
The correct way to measure your baby's arm span is to measure with your baby’s arms slightly bent - this is how your baby sleeps naturally, then measure the tops of their hands from one side to the other (left to right or right to left).
Do not measure with your baby's arms fully stretched out - you will not get the right fit.
